Vocal Expressions

Vocal Expressions is a welcoming and friendly ladies choir based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. Led by Musical Director, Nicola Mills, and accompanist, Lloyd Buck, the choir rehearses each Thursday evening in Holmbridge. As well as performing at our own concerts, we enjoy singing as guests of others; at fundraising events, weddings and private functions.
We have an extensive and varied repertoire including both sacred and secular music, ranging from classical to contemporary.

Most of all we just love to sing.

Our Spring concert on March 28th certainly lived up its name.

A lively, joyful well attended event, full of beautiful music and plenty of laughter. Our guests the Rossignol String Quartet are so talented and were a delight to listen to, and choir were in good voice too! The the North of England Centre for Music and the Arts, Standedge, Marsden is a great venue for concert. Thank you to all involved in making the afternoon a success.

Each year Vocal Expressions adopts a charity to support. For 2025/26 the choir has chosen Square Pegs as its charity to support.

Square Pegs is a local group for people with a variety of disabilities or people who just don’t feel they fit in. This charity is close to our hearts as we sing for them every year at Christmas and see how much good work they do with limited resources.
