A most enjoyable weekend. After some hard work learning new music and memory techniques a good time was had by all in the evening.

Vocal Expressions 20th Anniversary Dinner

To celebrate 20th Years of Vocal Expressions members of the Choir donned their finery and headed for  a celebratory dinner and dance at Meltham Golf Course on Saturday July 22nd. it was lovely to meet up with many former members of the choir. A most enjoyable evening.

20th Anniversary Concert - St Paul's Hall Huddersfield

On June 18th 2017 Vocal Expressions celebrated 20 years of singing together with a very successful and enjoyable concert in St Paul's Hall Huddersfield. The choir were delighted that founder and first Musical Director, Catherine Williams, former MD Michael Howell and accompanist Emma McKenna could join them to conduct and accompany them in several older pieces. Vocal Expressions also recalled their connection with the Ukraine ( where they travelled to perform in 2005) with a Ukranian celebration song led by Michael and Anna Drapan. Lindley Junior School Choir (with whom the choir has a long association) were also special guests and as usual sang wonderfully. The day was not only about looking back, but about celebrating the future of the choir and its love of singing together under the direction of Robert Webb and Lloyd Buck. There were many pieces from its recent repertoire, including a first performance of 'Over the Land is April' written by Robert and Lloyd for Vocal Expressions, to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Concert on Saturday 15 October 2016

Vocal Expressions is the guest of Salendine Nook Baptist Church as part of their monthly concert programme. The concert starts at 7.30 pm with tickets available on the door or by contacting us.
